I Blame My Roommate

You know that new website everyone is talking about called Pinterest

well my rommmate got me hooked last night and I sat there and repinned and repinned EVERYTHING in sight. Anything cute, adorable, vintage, decorative yep I pinned it on one ofthe many boards I created I have like 10.

Here are just a few things I saw and absolutely loved

I wanna do this in my future home it's really cute

I wanna learn how to do this!! But I'd probably just make my mom

I absolutely LOVE this!!! And then I do other things with it

like put pictures and other things on it. I just need to find a windowpane

suce a great idea!!

Pretty clever idea something I would never think of. They got vases and put rubberbands on them then spraypainted it.....so clever

As you can see I've been a little obsessed and it hasnt even been 12 hours.

Roommate Bonding!!!

Howdy Y'all. It's been awhile since my last post but that's mostly because I've had nothing to really blog about and school has kept me kinda busy. I'm still trying to find a job so if anyone knows anything let me know cuz i'm sick of not hearing back after interviews. But this isnt a post about me venting.

So like I said school has been fun and I'm getting along great with my roommates. We're always watching movies and finally we are now doing things together.....not that we havent before but it's more often now. Also Ice Cream has become a stable in our apartment we always have it or we are always eating it.

So last night we .....well most of us had a facial and did homework except for me cuz I ws done with my homework and we watched Easy A

Once everyone was home we all except for one who sadly already had plans went to Angie's and cleaned the sink

For those of you who dont know what the sink is at angie's its basically a small sink with ice cream and bananas and toppings.

Ten Years Ago

I know there's probably about 5,000 blogposts out there about this day but I wanted to say something about it

Ten years ago I was 9 years old and on September 11, 2001 I was getting ready for school when I went into my mom's room and saw an image similar like this on her screen and my mom just staring in shock. I was sad but being only 9 I didnt really know why my mom was just staring and why it was so horrible. I dont remember much the rest of that day but I remember there was news about it for weeks and weeks.

Years past and every September 11 in school we would have a moment of silence for those who were involved in the attacks.

This event didnt even really impact me for another 6 years. April 2007 my children's choir went on a tour to New York City to sing in a festival. While we were there sightseeing we stopped at Ground Zero. Back then there were no memorials or waterfalls, there was construction and pictures of that day. We went to this underground space and there they had pictures drawn by children who had lost a parent on that day. I cried while reading those I've never felt so sad but some of these drawings were say things like " I know you are in a better place' " You're safe now Daddy" A lot of them had children saying things they missed doing with their parents.

I unfortunately dont have the pictures of Ground Zero and those drawyings on my computer anymore but I've never been to a more somber, depressing place in my life.

From the footage I've seen today the place now looks like it has a peaceful feeling and it looks beautiful. I hope to go back again one day and read the names.

Lastly I would like to thank all those fireman, police, and regular people who were heroes that day. People that sacrificed their own life to save others. That day changed the life of every single american. I believe we are now MORE american than we've ever been especially me.

 I hope everyone took a minute to remember those people today...... I know I did.

My First Week on Campus!!!

This year I finally moved up to Logan so I could experience the real college life. And my first week was pretty fun, there was a lot of activities and of course school. One thing I've come to realize is that college people really dont sleep at all, I've never been this tired in my life. My roommates are really great but I think I said that in my last post but yeah they're pretty great I think we're really gonna get along this year.

Each day last week they had something special going on

Monday: A concert by the student , didnt know the band so I didnt go.

Tuesday: Thor!!! We unfortunately didnt stay for all of it mostly because people wouldnt stop talking so we couldnt hear

Wednesday and Thursday I didnt go to anything. i actually went home on wednesday. The best part about being in logan is that my family is only a half an hour away.

Friday and Saturday were the best!

Friday we had the 80s dance and I got all dressed up for it. It was a fun dance but we didnt stay long

Saturday was The Rocket Summer concert. I have only heard one of their songs but instantly fell in love. My playlist at the bottom of the page has a song of his but its the very last one.

I'm Lonely

I'm sitting here in my apartment all alone and feeling pretty lonely so I thought I would blog about things random or normal that have gone on lately.

1. I moved out on Saturday to Logan and it was a very.........stressful day. I also didnt think I would cry but I did.

2.It took a whole 24 hours for me to meet my roommates thankfully me and my friend who im living was here so at least I wasnt All alone.

3. I really don't like being alone I cant wait to start making new friends and hanging out more.

4. I got invited to go to a different Family Home Evening with a friend from high school and I didnt go. Now im thinking I should have

5.  I like my roommates now that I've actually met them. The one I'm rooming with is super nice and the other ones are way nice too!!

6. It kinda sucks that Im here all by myself again. Saturday night I was here by myself for 4 hours!!! It was a long 4 hours

7. Today was probably the worst first day I've ever had in my whole school career. I didnt go to my math class because of some confusion and totally missed a lot of important information.

But I love college!!! Hopefully I'll make more friends and do well in school

I Got Starstruck

Friday me and my sister decided to head down to the Davis County Fair because one of our favorite singers Tyler Hilton was playing there for free!!!

I will tell you this now, I dont think I have never been starstruck so I never knew how it felt but now I do. When he frist walked on for soundcheck I could not stop smiling I had the biggest grin on my face!!!! It was embarrassing

Let's just say me and my sister Anecia practically drooled the whole time, he is one handsome man

We got front row seats so this picture was taken like 5 feet away. I've never been that close to someone famous

The best thing about this concert was it was just him and the guitar. Im a sucker for acoustic anything and I could have sat there and listened to him for like hours. It also felt like he was playing for just a bunch of friends, between songs he would talk, he's way funny and awesome and he has a gorgeous smile. I should stop I'm gushing!!!

He played a few songs that I knew, mainly the ones from the one tree hill soundtracks, he also played a few from his new album and they were good!! I cant wait to get the cd. We unfortunately didnt stay to get a picture taken with him mostly because the line was like super long and we had nothing for him to sign.

It was a great way to spend a friday night!!!

The Zoo

My mom, Katelyn, Jame, Me, My cousin Josh and My Uncle Don spent the day a few weeks ago at the Zoo. We may have been the only adults there without kids but I still had the funnest time.

There's even dinosaurs now at the zoo, they're spreaded throughout the park and that was fun to see.

We went and saw the new baby elephatn Zuri who is really adorable!!!

She can do her own tricks like sitting on a tire, she even can do a headstand the trainers said she just did it one day all by herself , she basically trained them how to do the trick.

At one point they gave her a watermelon to smash with her foot

This is her making sure her mom doesn't get the watermelon. Like I said adorable!!

Of course while we were there we had some fun too

 All in all it was a good day at the zoo
